Czechia will hold the Presidency of the Visegrad Group
Slovakia is handing over its seventh presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) to the Czech Republic in a challenging geopolitical period of Russia’s ongoing aggressive war against Ukraine.
The Czech Republic continues to consider the Visegrad format as a traditional, Central European platform for building good neighborly relations through dialogue and human-centered cooperation, which should bring specific benefits to the citizens of the V4 countries.
The program of the Czech presidency with the motto “Citizens for V4” is based on the above-mentioned principles and is structured into three pillars:
- Safe and advanced society
- Innovative and interconnected economy
- Support to Ukraine
Detailed information of above pillars are available in extra document.
During the Czech Presidency, a number of expert meetings, seminars and conferences on the mentioned topics are planned, along with several traditional meetings such as a summit of the V4 Presidents and V4 Prime Ministers.
