Results of Western Balkans-Visegrad Fellowships

Together with the Western Balkans Fund, we are pleased to announce the first 41 applicants for the joint Western Balkans-Visegrad Fellowship Program for researchers, lecturers and scholars from the V4 and WB countries. We have applications from all V4 and WB6 countries and the selected institutions are also in all V4 and WB6 countries. And there is a wide range of study and research fields in common areas such as business, economics, history, law, but also computer science, engineering and technology, earth sciences or veterinary medicine.

 

After a thorough evaluation process of both Funds, the winners were selected from 154 eligible applications. Applications were received during the very first open call from 15 April to 15 June 2024.

Based on the agreement between Western Balkans Fund and Visegrad Fund signed in Bratislava on March, 2024, applicants from the Western Balkans Region will be entitled to a fully-funded 2-10 week fellowships at the universities of their choice in the V4 Region.

The same applies to applicants from the V4 countries to pursue a 2-10 week fellowship at universities in the Western Balkans Region.

Announcing the final results, we are witnessing the significant interest generated by this pilot program. Based on its success we look forward to expanding it further in the future.
