Opening “kick off meeting” online
The opening kick-off meeting, gathering a group including local NGOs, policymakers, and authorities alongside our project team, will focus on the following key objectives: Introduction and Context: We'll provide a comprehensive overview of the project's goals and research findings. Desk Research Insights: The research team will present findings from analyzing official city documents, highlighting existing policies, challenges, and opportunities. Survey Design: Collaboratively, we'll begin to craft a culturally sensitive survey questionnaire. The meeting will establish project milestones, assign responsibilities, and create a clear roadmap. We'll seek commitments from key stakeholders for active involvement and support in disseminating project outcomes within their networks.
Simultaneously, we'll officially launch our project website during the meeting. As part of our broader data collection efforts for individual cities' local policies on migration and refugees relative to national migration policies, we will collect data in the following areas: (i) Assessing the scale of the war refugee phenomenon in each city. (ii) Compiling socio-demographic specifics related to refugees. (iii) Analyzing local policies concerning migrants and refugees, including links to relevant strategic documents and local regulations. (iv) Identifying integration best practices from specific cities.
