Workshop on Sustainability in Sports Events Organization

This workshop will delve deeply into the principles of sustainability in sports event organization, focusing on two key dimensions: eco-friendly practices and financial sustainability. Participants will explore strategies to minimize the environmental footprint of sports events, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, sustainable resource management, and promoting eco-friendly transportation and tourism, in line with established Green Recommendations and best practices. Students’ concert at Core session

Final concert of the whole core summer session, where students can showcase everything they learned and prepared. This will take place on the main city square in Dolný Kubín with easy access to listeners from the city but also through the city's significance also to the wider region. Sanatorium of Sound

For the this edition of Sanatorium Of Sound, we will showcase two artists who specialize in multichannel spatial sound in their practices. One of these artists is Jan Krtička, whose work focuses on the relationship between landscape and human intervention in nature. His projects combine a conceptual approach with sound installations, exploring acoustic elements of the environment and using controlled chance. https://www.jankrticka.com/ The second is Polina Khatsenka aka mʊdʌki is dj, audiovisual artist and promoter from Minsk, based in Northern Bohemia. She is a member of phonon, a fluid collective of audiovisual artists active in the field of contemporary art. https://linktr.ee/polina_khatsenka As a special occasion we will show Concert for sixt-tone harmonium performed by Miroslav Beinhauer. The 6-tone harmonium is an utterly unique instrument on a world scale. Once just an exhibit in the Czech Museum of Music, is now enjoying a renaissance. Created in the 1920s for composer Alois Hába by August Förster, the improved model dates from 1936. The only working example worldwide is in the Czech Museum of Music in Prague. The bands are selected by Sanatorium of Sound curator Robert Piotrowicz. Promotion both on Czech and Polish sides.
