Training Course “Advocate for Media and Information Literacy: Sharing V4 Experience”

The training course aims to empower local youth leaders and representatives from youth civil society organizations in Georgia, Moldova, and Armenia with a profound understanding of anti-Western disinformation and its implications on the democratic progress of their respective nations. This intensive duration underscores the program's commitment to equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills. The course effectively encourages participants to critically analyze the pernicious effects of propaganda on the democratic evolution of their countries. The training curriculum is comprehensive, covering a broad spectrum of pertinent topics: Media Literacy; Disinformation, Anti-Western Disinformation and its Mechanisms, Main Target Groups, Propaganda, Deep Fakes and Fake News; Protective Measures, Fact-Checking Toolkits; Advocacy and Communication Grassroots Organizing. https://www.facebook.com/empowered.V4

Concluding public presentation of the research results in Tbilisi

There will be organized a concluding public presentation of the research findings and recommendations as well as the results of the study trip. The public presentation will be arranged in the hybrid format. One representative from per partner organization will have an opportunity to attend the event in Tbilisi, while the rest of the team members, including the international consultant and target audiences from V4 states as well as from the other European states will have a possibility to attend the event online. From Georgia, GIP will invite media representatives, policy makers, politicians, international organizations based in Tbilisi, expert community, CSOs, academics, students and other relevant stakeholders. The concluding event will also be livestreamed in social media and the TV coverage of the event will also be ensured by GIP communications team. The speakers of the event will be the project researchers who will present the research results and also per representative from the following target categories, who are meant to have an active contribution on the research activities. Thus, the event discussant will be politician, media representative and one international expert who will stimulate the open floor style dialogue to involve the audience in the discussion during the Q&A format. https://gip.ge/media-polarization/
