V4@THEATRE CRITICS RESIDENCY 2025 – RESIDENCY PROGRAMME

7-days workshops and a unique platform for cultural exchange, networking, and capacity building in the field of performative arts; "watch and write residency" taking place during International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra, the well-known theatre event that presents progressive pieces of contemporary performative arts from Slovakia and abroad; MAIN GOAL: to develop critical reflection of performative arts, monitor new trends and analytical methods through capacity building and networking activities focused on young and potential theatre experts from the region of V4, Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries, to provide a view on the project’s main topic – community theatre CORE ACTIVITIES: the group attends analytical seminars, masterclasses, 2 workshops (Theatre and Communities, Applied Theatre), and š discussions with Slovak artists. They visit performances of the main festival programme. After the residency, the participants commit to publishing articles/reviews for theatre media in their country by which we secure wide dissemination of the project outputs. INNOVATION ´25: the main innovation is the changed topic, that is on community theatre, which gives us an opportunity to call experts in this field, to lead workshops and seminars, platform will provide additional experience and networking opportunities for the participants, we also would like to push the equal participation of all the targeted countries, based on the experience from previous editions. https://nitrafest.sk/en/other-projects/v4theatre/

Visegrad Environmental Philosophy Summer School

VEPSS is a week-long intensive program for scholars and graduate students from the Visegrad countries that work on environmental questions in the region that can meet and exchange knowledge with high-profile international thinkers from global academia, who have been path-breaking for the field. The event will be preceded by a preparatory phase where representatives of the partner organisations will work together on the programme, setting up the open call for students and their selection. This preparatory work will take place both online and offline. The VEPSS itself will take the form of a residency where participants will spend time together - presentations, debates on current environmental issues and visits to locations relevant to the event theme will take place. https://enviro-phil-school.eu/
