CONCERT No.1 Ostrava

The premiere concert will take place in Ostrava, in the new concert hall of the Art Faculty. We plan the overall concert's length ca. 1 hour 20 min, with no break. Program: 4 new commissioned original compositions by Markéta Dvořáková & Petra Šuško (CZ), Przemysław Scheller (PL), Matěj Sloboda (SK). The pieces will be premiered by the “Sounds of Diversity” ensemble of fourteen V4 countries members (4 from CZ, 5 from PL, 5 from SK). The ensemble (14 players) will consist of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, horn, accordion, piano, cimbalom, harp, percussion, 2 violins, viola, violoncello, and double bass. One live video artist (PL) will create and realize a live multimedia performance for the concert. The project's concept includes 2 conductors: one conductor of the ensemble (SK) & one conductor for the conceptual performance of improvising parts and conducting the public's performance (CZ). Two artistic directors will collaborate and create the whole scenic performance concept. After the concert, there will be a scheduled and moderated debate meeting, in the form of a Q&A, with the public and project participants including the creative team. www.soundsofdiversity.com
