Inauguration of the newly renovated Albrecht House by the V4 String Quartet and Alena Huckova

The V4 String Quartet has been invited by the Domus Artis 2024 festival to perform in a concert at the Albrecht House, marking the venue's public reopening after renovation. The program will feature works by renowned composers Béla Bartók and Ernst von Dohnányi, both prominent figures from the V4 countries who were active in both Budapest and Bratislava. This concert is significant not only for showcasing the quartet's collaboration with Slovak pianist Alena Hučková but also for being their debut performance at the Albrecht House. Arriving in Bratislava on March 15th, the quartet will undergo three days of intensive rehearsals and preparations before the public concert on March 17th. Virtual Winter School – „Theory is not boring“ Redevelopment and reconstruction of Transition Regions in Climate and Society changes

The lectures will be mainly theoretical with several practical case studies. The lectures will be primarily intended for the audience from Ukraine, for whom the knowledge transfer is primarily intended. The lectures will focus on mitigation issues in the context of climate change and the promotion of environmental stability. One of the development opportunities is tourism, so the lecture will be devoted to experiences in this area. Innovative solutions of infrastructure development are an important component of development. Special attention will be paid to the development of urban planning. Land revitalization is also a typical problem for mining regions and one of the lectures will be devoted to land revitalization. The lectures will be predominantly in English with a Ukrainian language version. At the end of the lecture series, those interested will be able to complete a test.
