This year the Visegrad Fund celebrates 25 years
The International Visegrad Fund is proud to unveil a special anniversary logo to commemorate its 25th anniversary, symbolizing a quarter of a century of regional cooperation, innovation, and shared success.
The heart of the original logo represents the four capitals of Visegrad Group countries—Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest—through four distinctive dots. To celebrate the Fund’s 25th anniversary, the logo has been enhanced with additional dots, forming the number “25.”
Each of these dots represents a tribute to the thousands of grantees and their projects that the Fund has supported over the years. Every dot tells a story of collaboration, innovation, and positive impact, stretching beyond Central Europe to the Eastern Partnership countries and the Western Balkans, and elsewhere worldwide.
The Visegrad Fund’s original logo, officially adopted in 2006, was the winning entry from a design competition among students of graphic design in the V4 region. Selected from nearly 200 submissions, the emblematic design was created by Slovak designer Lucia Kleinedlerová, a then-student at the Bratislava-based Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Its innovative concept and artistic excellence earned it the prestigious Best of Nation 2007 award from the European Logo Design Annual (EULDA). In 2015, the logo underwent a subtle modernization by Slovak typographer and graphic designer Ondrej Jób, refining it into the streamlined, single-color version used today.
The agreement on the establishment of the International Visegrad Fund was signed at the summit of the V4 Prime Ministers in Stiřín near Prague on 9 June 2000.
