Poland takes over Visegrad Group presidency
Today, Poland is taking over the one-year-long presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) from the Czech Republic.
As its objective, the Polish presidency has adopted promoting initiatives aimed at increasing the prosperity of citizens, with a focus on improving multidimensional security and developing infrastructure connections and broadly understood connectivity.
The program of the Polish presidency with the motto “V4: Back to Basics” is based on the above-mentioned principles. Additionally, support for Ukraine is an element closely connected with three priorities of Poland’s V4 presidency:
– Citizens’ Safety
– Connectivity
– Unleashing the Potential
As the Polish presidency underlines, the International Visegrad Fund plays a crucial role in the implementation of the third objective by offering grant and scholarship programmes aimed at deepening cooperation between citizens and civil society organisations.
