Visegrad Sustainable Living Labs Network for Universities
The project implemented by the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów and its partner universities from Czechia, Hungary, and Slovakia aimed to create a Living Labs (LLs) network at campuses in Rzeszów, Pécs, Prague, and Prešov.
Living Labs are open innovation ecosystems usually operating in a local context (campus, city, region) that focus on co-creating and testing innovative and sustainable solutions in cooperation with partners from the private, public, and civil society sectors.
The project contributed to the creation of LLs at the involved university campuses by producing a methodological toolkit for Living Lab coordinators, as well as scenarios and training materials for Living Lab activator workshops that can be used by anyone who would like to implement this tool into academic life, available in Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak, and English. The project team also tested the created materials within a pilot workshop held in Rzeszów for students from each participating university.
The project was concluded with an online conference presenting its achievements to university representatives outside the project consortium and the wider public.
The LLs created within the project engage students with real-world experience, enabling them to work on sustainable projects and green solutions that can be implemented in their areas, and prepare them to be change agents in their personal and professional lives.
